Summary of how to get to Tokyo Tower by train. Introducing the way from 5 nearest stations!

Do you know which train station to get off and how to reach Tokyo Tower and Tokyo One Piece Tower?

Hello. My name is Mae-chan, in charge of the Tokyo One Piece Tower blog. In this column, we will introduce the charm of One Piece Tower with fan's perspective, so please nice to meet you!

So, I'd like to introduce Tokyo One Piece Tower, but by the way, do you know how to reach Tokyo Tower?

Tokyo Tower is not directly connected to the train station like Tokyo Sky Tree, so you need to walk from the nearby station. There are 5 stations, so it's quite the hard work.

So, this time, I visited all the 5 nearby train stations around Tokyo Tower, took photos to show how to reach Tokyo Tower, I will introduce them to you.

Please use them if you're interested.

The 5 nearby stations to Tokyo Tower

Actually, there is no train station that is directly connected to Tokyo Tower.

Because there are no stations in the underground of Tokyo Tower, you must walk from the nearby station.

There are 5 nearby train stations to Tokyo Tower, so please choose one from the line you always use.

・Toei Oedo Line Akabane Station 5 minutes on foot
・Hibiya Line Kamiya-chou Station 7 minutes on foot
・Toei Mita Line Onarimon Station 6 minutes on foot
・Toei Oedo Line, Asakusa Line, Daimon Station 10 minutes on foot
・JR Hamamachi-machi Station 15 minutes on foot

5 stations are all within the range of 5 to 15 minutes on foot. It only takes around 2 turns from every station to reach Tokyo Tower.

You can go straight from the farthest JR Hama-machi Station, so you will not get lost.

Now, I will introduce the specific details of how to go from each station.

Toei Oedo Line Akabanebasi Station

最初に紹介するのは、都営大江戸線赤羽橋駅からの行き方です。こちらは東京タワーまで550メートル、徒歩5分。

Akabanebashi is the nearest station to Tokyo Tower.

From Toei Oedo Line Akabanebashi Station, go out from the gate, and head to Akabanebashi exit area.

Then there's an intersection in front of you, so walk there along the gas station ENEOS, and walk along route No.301.

There is Shiba Park and Tokyo Tower ahead, so walk straight until you reach the big corner. Then you can see Tokyo Tower on your left!

If you reach this corner, turn left! If you reach here, you're almost there!!

Tokyo Tower's entrance is in the middle of the slope, so please enter from there.
Hibiya Line Kamiya-chou Station

Next, I'd like to introduce Hibiya Line Kamiya-chou Station. It takes 600m and 7 minutes on foot to Tokyo Tower.

This is the second closest station after Toei Oedo Line Akabanebashi Station.

Hibiya Line is connected to Ebisu Station, Ueno Station, and Akihabara Station on Yamanote Line.

Also, because it's connected to Nakameguro Station and Kitasenju Station, you can transfer to Tokyu Toyoko Line that connects Yokohama area and JR Joban Line that connects Kashiwa Station in Chiba and Ibaraki, so it's very convenient line.

From Hibiya Line Kamiya-chou Station, the No.1 exit is the closest, but you cannot use this exit due to construction until July in 2018.

So for Hibiya Line Kamiya-chou Station, I will introduce the route from No.3 exit out of Toranomon area gate.

3If you exit from No.3 exit, head left with your back to the exit.

Walk straight.

If you walk up the gentle slope, you will reach the intersection called Iikura.

Turn along this cafe called Yokohamaya, then walk straight.

Check the sign that says "Nagaizaka!" At this point, you can see Tokyo Tower, so you're almost there.

If you walk up Nagaizaka, Tokyo Tower appears in front of your eyes! Then you just cross the road and go down, there is the entrance of Tokyo Tower.
Toei Mita Line Onarimon Station

3Thirdly, I'd like to introduce Toei Mita Line Onarimon Station. It takes 700m and 6 minutes on foot to Tokyo Tower.
Toei Mita Line connects Shintakashimadaira Station in Itabashi-ku and JR Meguro Station in Shinagawa-ku. From Meguro Station, the line changes its name to Tokyu Meguro Line and extends to Hiyosi Station in Yokohama City, so it's an easy access from Yokohama area as well.

From Onarimon Station to Tokyo TowerA1 exit areais the right exit. So, if you exit with your back on the gate, walk to the right.

115If you climb up long stairs with 115 steps, you reach A1 exit, so continue to walk to the right.

Then you will reach an alley by Zojo-ji. From here on, the route is the same as JR Hamachi-chou Station and Daimon Station, I summarized them together below.

From Zojo-jiclick here.

Toei Oedo Line/Asakusa Line Daimon Station

都営大江戸線・浅草線大門駅

4The fourth is Daimon Station on Toei Oedo Line/Asakusa Line. It takes 10 minutes to Tokyo Tower from A6 exit of Daimon Station.

Daimon Station and JR Hamamachi-chou Station is a little far from Tokyo Tower compared to other stations, but there are Zojo-ji and Daimon on the way, so I recommend it to those who want to go for a stroll.

Daimon Station has two gates, Toei Oedo Line and Toei Asakusa Line, so try to go to A6 exit, the nearest exit to Tokyo Tower.

This is the gate of Toei Oedo Line Daimon Station. If you pass the gate, walk to the left with you back on the gate.

This is the gate of Toei Asakusa Line Daimon Station. If you walk from the Oedo Line, you meet here. Follow the sign that says A6 exitand walk straight.

Then there will be stairs, so climb them, and you will reach Daimon Station A6 exit.

Exit from A6 exit and walk straight to reachTokyo Tower/Zojo-ji area.

Pass through Daimon, and continue to walk till the end of the road.

If you walk straight, you will reach the intersection with Zojo-ji in front of you.

After crossing the crosswalk in front of Zojo-ji, turn right and go straight on the first alley by Zojo-ji.

The route here on is same as JR Hamamchi-chou Station and Onarimon Station, so I summarized them below.

From Zojo-jiclick here.

JR Hamamachi-chou Station 15 minutes on foot

The last is JR Hamamachi-chou Station. It takes 15 minutes on foot to Tokyo Tower from north exit of JR Hamamachi-chou Station.

JR Hamamachi-chou Station and Toei Oedo Line/Asakusa Line Daimon Station is far from Tokyo Tower, but there are Zojo-ji and Daimon on the way, so it's good for a nice walk.

Exit from the north exit of JR Hamamachi-chou Station. Go out of the gate and walk to the left, there is an exit.

Then you walk straight through the business district. If you look up in the distant sky, you will see Tokyo Tower, so you can feel that you are getting closer to the destination.

If you are walking from JR Hamamchi-chou Station, the sign is this Daimon! If you are here, you will reach Tokyo Tower in 5 minutes, 1/3 done!

Now you will continue to reach the next sign, Zojo-ji.

If you walk straight, you will reach the intersection with Zojo-ji in front of you.

If you walk straight, you will come to Zojo-ji. There is an intersection here, so cross the road and turn right.

The route here on is same as JR Hamamchi-chou Station and Onarimon Station, so I summarized them below.

The way from the alley by Zojo-ji

The route to Tokyo Tower from Onarimon Station, Daimon Station, and JR Hamamachi-chou Station are basically the same. The train station that you get off is different, but they will all meet on the way. If you walk up the alley by Zojo-ji, you will reach Tokyo Tower.

If you walk from Onarimon Station, Daimon Station, and JR Hamamachi Station, you will reach the alley by Zojo-ji. If you walk straight from here, Tokyo Tower is almost there.

Pass Jizo and continue to walk straight.

Then there is a three-way junction.

Cross there and walk straight up the hill, you will arrive at Tokyo Tower!

Summary: You will reach Tokyo Tower in 5 to 15 minutes from 5 nearby stations.
